Swedish Flower hens or Skånsk Blommehöna, definitely are winter-chickens. The don´t have any problems with a cooler, harsh climate, such as here in the Tyrolean mountains, because of their origin from Sweden. Although, they are from southern Sweden, they are very tolerant amongst snow, frost and long dark winter days.
They are also good egg-layers during the wintertime.
Because of the "mottled-gene", their feathers do show white dots on various plumage colors from Grey, Blue, Buff, Red, Brown to Black.
